Opening the eyes of the young to the possibility of EVS, Letonia, 27.09-03.10.2008

Scopul acestui training, organizat de catre centrul cultural si lingvistic “World at our home”, a fost sa faca EVS-ul cunoscut in randul tinerilor si in acelasi timp sa prezinte oragnizatiile care ar putea gazdui voluntari.
The training took place in Rezekne, situated at 4 hours away from Riga- Latvia

’s capital.

Together with Valeria, who also represented Romania, during those 4 days I met a lot of people- the participants from Azerbaijan, Algeria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Holland, Portugal, Spain, Slovakia, and Turkey, the hosts- the trainer was a volunteer from England and the young people from Rezekne (from high-schools and colleges).
In conclusion, we saw a colorful mixture of cultures, fascinating!
The goal of this training, organized by the cultural and linguistic center “World at our home”, was to make EVS known among young people and in the same time to present the organizations which could host volunteers.
The participants learned how to make origami out of napkins and they were very delighted
