12 zile memorabile

Ce poti sa realizezi in 12 zile?

12 unforgettable days

What can you realize in 12 days? You can say you went out with friends, you practiced a sport or you took dance classes. You can praise with the fact that you started learning a foreign language, you’ve eaten a delicacy or you have a new job… But can you afford saying that you made all this things and even more? Because I can!  August the 1st was the day of our departure to Epinal, France-the beginning of our adventure. For almost two weeks, the Romanian group, which has participated to the project called ”Jeunes en Liberte” was part of a family composed of French,

franta4Tunisian and Algerian teenagers and adults. Our ”family memories” are linked to the activities of the project-funny and meaningful games at the same time, which helped us build a friendship, some nights dedicated to every group-in which they present to the others their traditions, customs, dances, clothes and food from their country. Our temporary tattoos are yet a prove of the fact that we enjoyed ourselves, even though we had trouble with them. Due to the fact that our new friends have drawn on our skin those henna models at midnight, after the Tunisian party, we had to put bandages on that part of our body. As the greedy person that I sometimes am, I acted as a child and had myself tattooed not once, but twice. In order not to ruin the whole thing, I didn’t sleep all night, but as I had my shower in the morning all the henna has elapsed from its place. After I removed the bandages, what it should have been a heart with models inside, turned out to be…just a heart and the flower on my arm looked more like a bird-kind of.

franta8At least, they don’t last long…  We had the possibility of using the French language in its ”natural environment” and learn more than from a book at school.  We communicate with teenagers from different countries and cultures, which helped us, find out new things and we had a lovely trip to Strasbourg- a magnificent city. Also, the city of Epinal was even greater than I thought and visiting along with the others was better because we shared special moments and everybody was excited. Not everything was perfect of course; punctuality and organization could have been treated with more accuracy, but is nothing that can’t be improved. All in all, the whole journey was incredible and I was really lucky to attend it. I would like to think that we will visit again those places and especially we will stay in touch with our new ”family members” and maybe we’ll meet them again somewhere in the world.
