Dorim sa aducem multumiri speciale artistului fotograf Catalin Zestran pentru aceasta galerie ce surprinde energia si exiberanta tinerilor voluntari Here There.

The “Here There” project created by A.C.T.O.R. with the financial support of the Youth in Action Program has been developing ever since august 2013 to this date (July 2014)

-9 youth from Denmark, Estonia, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Argentina, Ghana and Peru have taken on the challenge of having activities with Romanian children in hospitals, kindergartens, schools, of Bucharest, and of other rural areas. They arrived during last year’s autumn and stayed in Romania for a year.
-3 Romanian girls have experienced volunteering in intercultural context, developing activities which have strong focus on cultural diversity, so it can be understood by the children from France, Peru and Italy.
-11 youth from Armenia, Croatia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Spain and Uruguay have just arrived in Romania and are in their training sessions so they learn how to interact with Romanian children and teens.
The activities will end on august 2015.

As you can probably notice, the Here There project is a very complex  task which requires A.C.T.O.R.’s small team to work at full potential… but all our efforts are repaid knowing that over 10 000 children and teens, over 250 teachers and educators and a great number of parents, get to acknowledge directly what cultural diversity is and the importance of developing a tolerant and respectful attitude towards the values of other cultures.

Although we are half-way through the project, we are yet to face a beautiful new beginning for HERE THERE.
