“New Life for traditional stories” – Grundtvig Partnership- Estonian Chapter

In perioada 12-16.04.2014  Andreea Vasilescu, Lucian Petrescu, Violeta Ionescu si Daniel Stan au participat la parteneriatul Grundtvig “New Life for traditional stories”.

During 12-16.04.2014 Andreea Vasilescu, Lucian Petrescu, Violeta Ionescu and Daniel Stan take part in Grundtving partnership “New life for traditional stories”. Together with participants from Estonia, Italy, Denmark, Finland, Portugal we try to discover the way of how traditional stories influence our life and how we can bring them to life, in order to send the same important message to the new generation.

In the first days we focus on reflection activities to identify the favorite character and which are the similarities between our person and the character. Our task was to build from recycled materials and fabrics a costume for our character. Beeing an individual activity we have the chance to analyze our evolution, the way how childhood influence our life and how we can represent all this in one costume.

Starting with this activity, we sort the stories according with their type: comedies, tragedy, overcome the monster, richness/poverty, s.a and we discuss how this will look nowadays. For example we was thinking that wolf can follow Red Riding Hood just by looking at her chek in on Facebook or how easy the Beast can integrate in the community with all the non-discrimination laws…

Iwan Brioc facilitates the whole process to bring up to life all the stories, using theater forum method. Was a really interested experience, reflexive, learning a lot from it about us and our culture and about the others culture. By having this activities we have the opportunity to analyze how traditional stories influence our behavior during childhood and adult life too.
