Wednesday, 21st November 2013, the Tandarica Theatre Festival took place, and A.C.T.O.R. was represented by a team made by two coordinators and five foreign volunteers from the European Service of Voluntary supported by European Commission program, Youth in Action: Domenico and Leonardo from Italy, Sheila from Ghana, Diana from Peru and Marina from Argentina. Tandarica Theatre and A.C.T.O.R. had as guests the 1st grade children from Public School number 108, together with some of their parents and of course their teacher, Catalin Zestran. The volunteers had prepared traditional dances and games, so the children and the parents learnt together the basis steps of the tango dance, they moved on the African and South-American rhythms, they played “The Mirror” Argentinian style and they meticulously realized a paper-made pizza. Leonardo and Domenico  delighted the audience with very well known Italian songs and with funny and entertaining games. Our guests didn’t bring home just beautiful moments and new information about cultural diversity; they also bring the flags of the countries they’ve been “traveling” too, created by them with the help of the volunteers. The children also received balloons with the autographs of the “artists” that performed for them. Hoping that they  will have the opportunity to collaborate with Tandarica Theatre in the future, the A.C.T.O.R. volunteers still have plenty of funny and great moments to offer to children.
