inclusive tool box … a new mobility

In perioada 25-29 mai 2012 s-a desfasurat in Poznan(Polonia) cea de-a sasea mobilitate din cadrul proiectului Grundtwig “Inclusive toolbox”, un proiect despre metode de incluziune sociala, metode dezvoltate de catre organizatiile partenere.

A treia zi a proiectului a constat in implicarea noastra activa in cadrul activitatilor festivalului.

In cateva cuvinte in limba engleza i-am explicat unde am uitat rucsacul.

From 25th to 29th of May 2012 took place in Poznan (Poland) the sixth Grundtwig mobility project “Inclusive toolbox”, a project on social inclusion methods, methods developed by partner organizations. The hosting organization (CIM Horizonty) arranged this so-called meeting “Cultural diversity in Local Community” starting from a local event – a festival of Lazars neighborhood, where were involved NGOs, media and business leaders. The organizers of the “Inclusive toolbox” project prepared many creative and interactive activities for their participants.

In the first 2 days, we had the opportunity to experience the local atmosphere, to meet the people, breaking the entire cultural and linguistic barrier by having a small survey among citizens, using creative tools. Therefore, we managed to gain the local’s trust, creating a proper environment for them to expose the neighborhood issues.

In the 3rd day of the project, we have got involved in organizing the festival’s activities, preparing public animation workshops for children, youngsters and grownups as well, and using different non-formal educational methods. Each country created its own stands, where sharing information about countries, tasting traditional goodies and discovering the cultural diversity.

The last day was for evaluating the activities and the project itself. Thanks too many shared experiences and the cultural diversity of the participants we managed to gather in a joint box lots of useful tools, even though not perfectly enough, but able to offer to each of us a way of social inclusion, regardless of the community to which belongs. We realized that a multicultural experience and a variety of social inclusion issues could generate innovative solutions.  Thus, we can say the project has achieved its objectives and the final meeting will result and finish this social inclusion toolbox.

The backpack adventure

A random situation, which seemed not related to the project, ended up to be a great opportunity for discovering a new culture, a city and some wonderful people.

In the first bus taken from the airport I have forgot my backpack, having some money and my home keys in it. I have realized the missing of it 15 minutes after getting down while waiting for the second buss. I did not think I would be possible to get it back. Prozan’s population is around 500.000, having a very complex transport network. Besides, it was a rush hour and the linguistic barrier was a serious issue.

My wife insisted to solve the problem and she tried to talk to the driver of another bus, but without any luck.  Instead, a very kind man offered to help us. In few words in English, I have explained him where I forgot my backpack. He called to a transport company and then somewhere else. 20 minutes after, he asked me to describe the backpack, and then he told me a friend of him had it in his office, trying to explain me how to get there. Therefore, we had a 2 hours trip in Poznan, seeing a beautiful city and meeting great people, willing to help me, even though we were not speaking the same language. I actually had the feeling all the transport company knew where my backpack was, except me. Finally, I found it at someone happy for helping me.

Multumesc Poznan si multumesc ACTOR,pentru ocazia de a intalni oameni minunati si de a trai experiente de viata uluitoare.
