Anul acesta voluntarii au fost Eugeniu Barbu, Mihai Barbu, Stefan Tatu, Ana Nita, Dana Curculescu, Ionut Ciobanu, Madalina Nicola, Vatavu Alina, Alexandra Baciu, Dorgo Bodgan, Violeta si Filip Ciuvat, Andreea Ionescu, Andreea Vasilescu, Lucian Petrescu, Cristina Vaduva, DoThiVanAanh, LaQuangSang, Nadine Cullen, Fenne Van Os, Zane Brilte, Katharina Slany, Katri Hogan, Cyril Tiserand, Laura Nunez,
Between the 1st and the 8th of april in A.C.T.O.R. the “De Florii, flori pentru copii” campaign blossomed for the 9th time. Around 30 Romanian and European volunteers twisted thousands of colored napkin roses which they’ve put in baskets to be sold in the “Florii” day.
This campaign is already a tradition and a main attraction for those who want to enroll as EVS volunteers in A.C.T.O.R..
The whole thing started from a need of the romaian volunteers’ group in 2003, which gathered at the weekly origami club, couldn’t find a solution to offer the children from the hospitals where clinical animation was being held- a little something- a small gift… an Easter gift…
Cristina Peia, which now has a beautiful family with two beautiful children in Madrid, had an inspiration moment and proposed to organize and do as many flowers as we can and after convince people on the street to buy them. So, the napkin roses became pure obsession for a few days… and all week we organized groups of youngsters in front of all the theatres of Bucharest and in front of the churches that allowed us…
Ilinca Marin created the graphic symbol of the campaign, and even the font with which we wrote the campaign’s name.
The money we gathered helped us fill up the present bags with fruit and some toys that were offered to the kids after they participated in a small artistic program in the hospital’s court… the children were joyful, and the volunteers really happy.
The years have passed and each year the campaign became more popular and now we’re being expected…in the Florii day with our flowers offered by youth, which explains what they do as clinical animators…
