  • Monday, the 2nd of April 2012 the first origami workshop at Spiru Haret high-school of Bucharest has been held. 60 10thgrade and 11th grade students participated and together we tried to work and build an origami modular.

The friendly and energetic atmosphere made this event to be a success. Even if in the beginning they found it a little difficult, they found out that if they work together they can pass any problem and can achieve beautiful things. A lot of them wished that such an activity should happen more often in their high-school so they could get involved in volunteering activities.

The teachers were happy as well. The loved the idea of evaluation through hand-written mail and they even proposed that in the following lessons they would do origami with the students.

  • Tuesday the 3rd of April 2012 we went to general school number 1, in Pantelimon to keep 4 origami pedagogical theatre workshops with children classes I-IV. We were impressed with how clean the place was and how dexterous the little students were. We folded together an Easter basket and even if they never heard of origami before they have proven their qualities. The teachers were impressed with the origami method and of the way this method helps the children remember and repeat the steps of folding an origami object. It was a beautiful experience and the greatest reward were the love declarations of the kids who called us back another time.
