Euro In2Play – Altering Attitudes= 11th – 17th February, 2008

organised by  Dynamix (www.dynamix.ltd.uk) to Stackpole, Pembrokeshire,

Wales

,

UK

The general topic of the training was “Altering Attitudes”!  It sounds maybe a little too serious, too austere, but the entire atmosphere was a “serious fun”, as those from Dynamix like to say it, seaside breeze and delicious food. The accommodation and the surroundings were perfect for these activities: we forgot about the noise and the toil of cities, everything was inviting us to relax, to breathe fresh air, to play and smile.

First of all do we need anything to play? Yes, but not too much…
Proper conditions (a secure and safe space), ideas and desire to play…  At Stackpole we even had more than that!
The main objectives were: to make us understand and feel the discrimination concept, so that, in the future, to be able to set up training sessions,  to deal with conflicts, to overcome skeptical attitudes,  adapt different games for these situations and of course  improve the social level.
No sooner had   the trainers gave us some utensils to play, then we invented our own games.  Many, many accessories: papers, colors, clay for sculpting each other’s portrait with the eyes closed, musical instruments, parachute, Earth ball (huge), joggling balls, monocycle and many others things used in circus activities.
The language and age barriers were completely melt, everyone was encouraged to speak and every opinion was very important for all of us. We had also many group activities, brainstorming, debates.  Even if at the beginning some the participants were a little bit shy, day by day we all became more courageous, able to discover ourselves, willing to open our souls and trust everyone there.
I cannot say in words what I feel. It was just great!

Trainingul din

Wales

s-a numit “Altering Attitudes” (Atitudini Discriminatorii).

Multe multe accesorii: hartie, culori, lut, instrumente muzicale, parasuta, Globul, mingi pt a jongla, si multe altele folosite in lumea circului.
