Drums for Peace network – s-a intalnit din nou in
Conway
–
Wales
Bunii mei ACTORI,
Revederea membrilor retelei pentru a reconstrui impreuna proiecte pentru 2008, chiar 2009. Nu ne veti gasi in documentele originale…dar ce frumosi sunteti voi copii in toate filmele, pozele si gandurile celor prezenti, in proiectele Drums for Peace!

Drums for Peace network – meet again in
Conway
–
Wales
Dearest ACTOR’s,
For almost a week – October 8-12- I was lived an energizing and full of learning event, near to fascinating Danishes, Scottish, Frances, Estonians Lithuanians, Portuguese, Wales, together now, into a green and stones town! I have the privilege to be part of the Romanian Team, like board member of ACTOR.
…I tell you energizing and I’m thinking to the intensity of the feelings that haven’t nationalities, just substance,…I tell you full of learning, because so close to Eugenia and Stefanita every event will be filled with new understandings, undoubting.
Drums for Peace are a project with some tradition in the world wide. Started somewhere in 2001, brings young people, youth workers and artists from different countries together. It uses creative arts to engage young people and ensure the inclusion of those that are disadvantaged and vulnerable.
After a long day of traveling, two blue eyes of our future moderator will smile a large welcome to me in the
Manchester
airport. A Spanish actor how lives in Scotland will warmly embarrasses me and in the very next minute started to ask about “ACTOR’s children”, How did they arrived from the castle …Did they was followed by a ghost through home?, suddenly a big and nice Estonian was wake me with his very cordially hand offered, …a new embrace will come to me from an unaccustomed character with lot of piercing and a fascinating smile …a big child speaking French and living in Estonia, o small Portuguese with vivant eyes who lives in France was giving me a warm kiss…It was a wave of people that meet with me at the first time that they have knowing me since the begins of the world … I was charged with emotion, drank of their enthusiasm . In the next morning I received a better understanding: all of them was meet before for several times during the years with Eugenia & Stefanita, others was knowing young people from ACTOR… they embrace in fact, the ACTOR, I have the feeling that they know better than me …because they know you young volunteers, those how does you credit the association and the country.
I have the feeling of joy till the end of the meeting when our relationship was continued to grow and developed. Our thoughts, our discussion, our conflict of ideas, everything from the morning in the evenings, from the conference room through the garden means thinking new opportunities of exchange, themes of projects, smart objectives for the future. That was in fact the meaning of the reunion of the network: meeting the members for the reconstruction of the exchanges for 2008, even for 2009, for giving birth new projects between was in fact
You will never find us in the official documents from the beginning of the network…but who wonderful you are young people from ACTOR in the all films, photos and thoughtsof the people presents in the Drums for Peace projects! Hard task…was to climb on the top the wave …and will be the most challenging to stay there with honor!
All the eyes at the closure time were spoken Romanians friendly …with confidence. Starting with interesting agreements and projects speaking about old puppetry theatre heritage through the desired relationships into small rural or urban communities…projects of training and sharing experience between youth…all wish Romania to be present!
If I can put a story over this event, which will be like this: “Long time ago, 3 hungry and tired soldiers, coming after a long war; they arrived in a small village. The farmers hardly lives from the day to another, because the harvest was so poor and the battles so long. They arrived soon in the place of the village to say welcome the soldiers, but they come with the empty hands. Was starting to cry that they nothing left and they are starved, can’t give them anything.
The soldiers change few words between them. Turn through the old man of the village and the first soldier said: “Your weak land lat you with nothing of offered, but we will share with you our few that we posed, the secret of cooking the rock soup.
Of course, the village people was amased by that words, but they start the fire and putted over the big pot. The soldiers was droping the 3 little rocks inside. “That will be the best soup in the world”, said the second, “but …a bit of salt will transform it in something very tasted”. In that moment a peasant woman was raised and said “what luck! I just remembered that left me a bit at home!” She return quicly and brought with her a parsley and a kohlrabi
. During the boiling of these also to other peasants was bringing back the memory …Soon in the pot was trough potatoes, carrots, beef meat and even cream. Until the end of cooking a wine bottle coming up.
The hole village near to the 3 soldiers treated themselfs. They was eating, dancing, singing till the middle of the night, like that didn’t happend from long time ago.
In the morning, when the 3 soldiers was waking up, all the village stay in front of them. At their feet soldiers was received a rucsac with the best bread and cheese.
“You share the Big secret, to make a soup from the rocks and for that will not forget you!”, an old peasant said. Hearing these, the third soldiers turn to the people and spoke: “It isn’t any secret. It’s a think that remains forever a Truth: Just sharing can do a great celebration!”
Now, I hope I bring you my understanding about what happened in Conway…understanding why everybody wish Romania like partners…because together we celebrate sincerity and devotion for real faith.
Good luck in the future and a big Thank you for offering me that chance to precious your work. The first meeting with Eugenia was pop-up in my head now, time when Constantin became A.C.T.O.R.’s program, time when EVS was so far way …Thank you for being still together…in that world mad after newest… What aroma perfumed the old wine of our relationship?!
